Gin starts to get annoyed. He senses Lara getting disrespectful. He puts his hand out, grabbing the back of her shirt to stop her. In a firm voice. "Lara, stay out of it."

Lara doesn't seem pleased with Gin's assurtion of authority, but doesn't protest either. "....Yes, sir."

Ayn gets up and leaves the room, it was too dusty for her to rest in and she kept sneezing. After a few minutes of walking she found herself to be even more lost than before. "Great. Just ****ing great. I never thought I'd finally rot in a ****ing anthill."

Gin lets go of Lara and goes back to reading, as if nothing happened.

A cold chill spreads through the hallway Ayn is in, seemingly swallowing the little light that kept Ayn from blindness in the depths of the castle. At the same time, the walls seem to 'melt' as if reality itself was disolving.

Ayn snarls and shivers from the sudden chill and the feeling of uneasiness. She fumbles around for her sword, but realizes she doesn't have it. She sighs, exasperated and she holds out her palm. A small fireball forms in it and she gapes at the realization that the walls were melting. "What the hell?"

Cloud nearly crashes as he pulls the bike to a stop infront of the castle. He lets it drop and pushes open the doors, comming back into the castle and walking into the Library. "Sorry to interrupt you granny but my bike needs fixin'. I got in a little scruffle with our demon friend on the road and I've been riding on a very flat tire." After making a rude introduction to Lara, he turns to Gin. "You're watching over Ayn, correct?"

Lara snarls at Cloud. "Mind your manners, boy."
__ The entire hallway begins to rapidly fall apart into a void. Eventually Ayn is pulled into the darkness. ....Wake up, Ayn. |

Ayn blinks, realizing she's lying down, in a bed.
After a few minutes she glances around. Strange.. This place was eerily familiar. It took her a few seconds to realize she was back home in Blythandor. She hops out of bed. Everything seems so large around her, and she stands on her tippy-toes to grab a hairbrush, which was sitting on a dresser. |

The voice speaks in a soft, quiet voice. Just like a whisper. "It's still early, you have plenty of time to get ready..." The voice lingers in an echo-ish way.

Ayn shrugs slightly, then brushes her hair. She wanders into the kitchen and fishes around for some breakfast. She doesn't know what time it is, but judging by the almost complete lack of sun she assumes it's just around dawn. She did have plenty of time.

Ayn blinks "School? I haven't been in school for over ten y-" She stops suddenly, wide-eyed and shocked. Her voice is young and slightly squeaky. There was no way she was a child again, she was an adult just a few minutes ago!

The voice seems confused by Ayn's statement. "You have strange dreams, Ayn. Look in the mirror, you're only five."

Ayn glances in a nearby mirror, only to have a very young child stare back at her. She shakes her head, still confused. This is probably a strange dream, Ayn. Just go with it, you'll wake up eventually.
Light begins to spill into the room while she eats breakfast, it was getting close to the time where she'd have to leave for school. |

The voice remains silent as Ayn eats, patiently waiting for her to finish her breakfast and to get going to school. "You'll have to get to school on your own. No one's home. It's not a long walk."

"O..Okay.." She fumbles around in her closet and pulls out a small sweater, which was still quite large on her, coming down to her knees. She never really understood why she was so much smaller than the others, but she figured she'd grow up eventually.

Gin raises his eyebrow at Cloud. Maybe Lara was more right than he thought, but he wasn't about to jump in it. "Ayn is somewhere in the castle, she wanted to excercise her legs."

Outside, Blythandor is just as it should be. Not ruins, but the town it once was. It's peaceful, but also nearly silent. "It's cold today."

Gin looks up at the time. "Actually, I'm not sure what exactly Ayn is doing. I'm going to go find her."

The voice doesn't seem concerned. "They all have a place to be, just like you do. So you best get there." A cold wind blows through the street.

Ayn nods, then hurries towards the school, wrapping her arms around herself for warmth. She finally reaches the school and runs through the front doors.

The school is no diffrent then the streets. It's eerily abandoned and the same wind blows through it. "...It seems no one's here either. Are you late?"

Ayn looks around, bewildered. She runs up to the teacher's desk, checking the clock. Her voice is tiny and scared. "No.. And it's a weekday too.."

Gin walked out of the library. He tried to sense where Ayn might be, but he wasn't picking up anything. Maybe she was on the far side of the castle. He continued walking, hoping to sense her nearby.

Ayn frowns. "I.. I'm not allowed to go to the lab without my parents... or Rand." She shifts on her feet uncomfortably. "Maybe I'll go home."

Lara joins Gin, a concerned look on her face. "Where could she of gone?"

Ayn runs off, forgetting her books on the teacher's desk, but not really caring.
Once outside, a light and chilling rain begins to fall, and she shivers, curling up in her oversized sweater. She continues running back to her house, drenched once inside. |

Gin sees that Lara is following him. He goes upstairs, having searched the bottom floor. He hadn't sensed anything yet, and was growing worried. He looks at Lara. "Did she mention where she might have went?"

__ As soon as Ayn enters, the house is in shambles. Drawers are ripped open, glass broken. Everything has been strewn about as if someone was searching for something or someone. "Seems someone was here..." |

Ayn gapes at her ruined house. "W...what.." She walks around, staring blankly at the wreckage, even more terrified than before. In tears, she mutters something about wanting to find her parents.

Cloud, who had long since parted from Gin and Lara, had begun his own search for the young Abbis. He had trailed into the basement and had started to open every door cautiously. He never liked dark areas much. "Damnit... better to have loved and got lost than never to have tried looking for the complicated girl at all..." He finally opens the last door he comes across to see Ayn laying on the ground, slightly shivering. He runs over to her side and nudges her a bit. Seeing her lack of reponse, he picks her up into his arms and heads back to the Library.

Gin picked something up in his mind. He felt a presence, Ayn's. It was in. . the library? He turns to Lara. "Damnit, she's in the library. Come, let's go."

__ Footsteps can be heard upstairs and the voice seems urgent. "Hurry! Leave and find your parents." The voice makes an inaudible sound soon after. |

Cloud lays her on a red padded length couch next to the desk in the Library. He decides it'd be pretty useless to try and wake her up so he kneels beside her, a worried for her and for the possibility of another foe comming to claim her life. He protectively holds her head in his arms and looks about the room.

Lara and Gin finally make it to the library. He sees Ayn on the couch, with Cloud at her side. He hurries over, and looks down at Ayn. She wasn't moving, but she was sweating profusely and she had a sort of glazed look over her eyes. "Where did you find her?"

Cloud almost immediatley backs away from Ayn but lays her head down gently on the sofa and stands. "She was in the basement, laying on the floor in some room. I brought her back up here soon as I found her." He looks down at Ayn then to Lara. "Nothing but trouble, huh? Looks like trouble just did what two Abbis couldn't."

Gives Cloud a stern look. "That's enough." He focuses on Ayn. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, and he didn't sense anything that was particularly wrong. .
